Chulabhorn Royal Academy is committed to producing high-quality professionals in medical sciences and serving as a national center for continuing education in medical and health sciences. The Academy’s mission emphasizes expanding educational opportunities for all individuals, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. The Bachelor of Nursing Science Program (for graduates of other disciplines) is designed as a second degree program, providing an accessible pathway for individuals who aspire to enter the nursing profession. Applicants to this program may request: Exemptions or credit transfers for general education courses and Credit transfers for professional foundation courses, if they have previously completed a degree in health sciences. This structure supports motivated learners who wish to transition into nursing, ensuring they receive the necessary training while recognizing prior academic achievements.

The Bachelor of Nursing Science program (for graduates of other disciplines) is conducted in accordance with: The Ministry of Education Curriculum Standards B.E. 2558 (2015), The Undergraduate Qualification Standards in Nursing Science B.E. 2560 (2017), The Regulations of the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council on the Approval of Professional Nursing and Midwifery Education Programs for graduates of other disciplines B.E. 2563 (2020).

The program follows a semester-based system (two semesters per academic year). Each semester has a minimum duration of 15 weeks. A summer session is also offered, with a minimum duration of 6 weeks, ensuring that the total study hours per course are equivalent to those in regular semesters.
The program comprises a total of 122 credits as follows:

A. Preparatory Courses (Non-credit): 2 credits (not counted toward graduation)

B. General Education Courses (Transferable Credits): 30 credits
1. Science and Mathematics: 12 credits
2. Humanities and Social Sciences: 9 credits
3. Languages and Communication: 9 credits

C. Specialized Courses: 86 credits
1. Professional Foundation Courses: 13 credits
2. Professional Nursing Courses: 73 credits
    – Theory: 37 credits
    – Practice: 36 credits

D. Free Electives: 6 credits

Credit Transfer
Credit transfer for courses and cross-university registration is permitted in accordance with: The Chulabhorn Royal Academy Undergraduate Education Regulations B.E. 2562 (2019) and The Regulations of the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council on the Approval of Professional Nursing and Midwifery Education Programs B.E. 2563 (2020), Clause 13.2 on Learning Outcome Transfer.
