“SIRISILAPIN” -- The Artist of Auspicious Grac
An artist of profound grace and vision, whose creations across diverse artistic disciplines are imbued with auspicious meaning, cultural virtue, and enduring beauty. Each work stands as a symbol of blessing and inspiration, reflecting refinement of spirit and bringing honour, harmony, and goodwill to all who encounter it.e
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, a distinguished royal lady of the Chakri Dynasty, is revered for her exceptional intellect and noble virtue in both science and the arts. Through unwavering dedication and profound artistic vision, she has created works of enduring beauty across diverse artistic disciplines.
Bestowed with the honored title SIRISILAPIN, her creations embody grace, auspiciousness, and cultural refinement, standing as a source of inspiration, blessing, and harmony for the nation and for generations to come.

With particular fondness, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana has devoted herself to the creation of tiger paintings, rendered in a distinctive artistic language uniquely her own. Through expressive lines and vivid imagination, nature is interwoven with symbols of science and personal inspiration, forming works of remarkable harmony and beauty.
Her artistic expression embodies a fantastical yet instinctive style, blending elements of naïve art with an intuitive creative process guided by inner sensibility rather than formal theory. Drawing upon atmosphere, time, the natural environment, scientific knowledge, and personal life experience, she has created an extraordinary body of work comprising over 500–600 tiger paintings, further expanded into sculptural and installation art, reflecting both artistic brilliance and profound creative vision.

Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana has continuously created paintings in her own hand, producing new works each year alongside her artistic endeavors. In all her creative pursuits, she remains ever mindful of the well-being of the people. Guided by compassion, she has graciously envisioned the transformation of her artworks into a wide range of creative products, with proceeds dedicated to supporting communities in remote and underserved areas affected by illness and hardship.
Through her artistic genius, Her Royal Highness has also employed art as a meaningful instrument to promote and strengthen international relations, while further extending her creative works to generate support for foundations established under her royal initiatives. Her distinctive artistic vision and exceptional talent have long been evident and deeply revered by the Thai people.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the nation’s cultural heritage, on 27 August B.E. 2568 (2025), the Ministry of Culture, through the National Culture Commission, graciously conferred upon Her Royal Highness the honorary title SIRISILAPIN — National Artist of the Year B.E. 2567 (Visual Arts). This honor stands as a tribute to her remarkable creative achievements in visual arts and painting, her profound impact within academic and artistic circles, and her vital role in preserving and elevating the nation’s cultural identity with grace and dignity.
This recognition is received with the deepest gratitude and reverence for her immeasurable royal benevolence
