Chulabhorn Royal Academy Hosts Week 27 of the Health Ambassador Program (Class 6)

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, through Chulabhorn Hospital, organized the 27th weekly session of the Health Ambassador Program (Class 6) at the Convention Hall, Chulabhorn Research Institute Convention Center.

The training began with a special lecture titled "Vaccine Facts: Prevention is Better than Cure!" by Dr. Krit Madsalae, a specialist in Preventive Medicine and Tropical Infectious Diseases, and Head of General and Family Medicine at Chulabhorn Hospital. He shared vital information on adult and elderly vaccinations, including influenza, shingles (zoster), and pneumococcal vaccines. The session covered how vaccines work, the necessity of age-appropriate immunization, safety concerns, and potential side effects to foster correct understanding and reduce vaccine hesitancy.

This was followed by a "Basic Life Support (BLS)" workshop led by Mr. Phubet Ploysawat, Head of the Emergency Ambulance Service at Chulabhorn Hospital. The workshop combined theory with hands-on practice, focusing on essential skills such as adult and infant CPR, as well as techniques for assisting oneself and others during an Airway Obstruction (choking). The goal was to ensure participants can perform these life-saving measures according to international standards, enhancing their readiness and confidence in handling emergencies in daily life.
