Chulabhorn Royal Academy Advances Good Governance, Opens Public Hearing on Draft Code of Ethics Toward Sustainable Transparency

Chulabhorn Royal Academy, through the Good Governance Unit under the Division of Sustainable Development, reaffirmed its commitment to governance based on good governance principles by organizing a public hearing on the Chulabhorn Royal Academy Regulation on the Code of Ethics B.E. 2564 (2021). The objective was to refine and enhance the content to ensure completeness and relevance in response to contemporary social and global changes.

This initiative provided an opportunity for stakeholders from all sectors—including members of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy Council, executives, faculty members, researchers, staff, and students—to express their opinions via online channels between 2 February and 10 April 2026.

To further capture diverse and comprehensive perspectives, the Good Governance Unit also organized additional focus group discussions with strong cooperation from two key groups, totaling 179 participants, as follows:

Research Personnel Group – 23 participants on 23 March 2026
Student Group from Six Faculties – 156 participants between 18 March and 10 April 2026, comprising:
• Faculty of Health Science Technology: 29 students
• Faculty of Medicine, Srisavangavadhana: 31 students
• Princess Agrarajakumari Faculty of Nursing: 28 students
• Faculty of Engineering: 27 students
• Faculty of Food Innovation and Nutrition: 22 students
• Faculty of Science: 19 students

Overall, the public hearing activities were conducted smoothly and successfully, with a total of more than 1,506 participants providing feedback. The Good Governance Unit will compile and utilize these valuable inputs to prepare the draft Chulabhorn Royal Academy Regulation on the Code of Ethics B.E. ……, which will subsequently be submitted to the relevant committees and executives for consideration.

Furthermore, to promote continuous participation and enhance the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) of public sector operations, the Academy assigned student representatives from all six faculties to conduct satisfaction surveys on administration and service delivery across all dimensions. The evaluation results will be compiled and forwarded to the responsible units for further development and improvement of operational quality in alignment with the Academy’s mission.

Chulabhorn Royal Academy firmly believes that “the participation of both internal and external stakeholders” is the cornerstone of good governance. This principle has consistently guided the Academy’s operations, driving it toward becoming a transparent organization grounded in moral and ethical integrity, and ensuring sustainable growth alongside Thai society.
