BANGKOK, July 2, 2026 – Chulabhorn Royal Academy, organized a special commemorative lecture titled "Sirisilapin: Fantasia – The Reflection of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s Benevolence." The event was held to honor and celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birthday anniversary of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, on July 4, 2026. On this occasion, Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, delivered a keynote address on "Science of Royal Benevolence: From the Foundation of Royal Determination to the Well-being of the People," and officially announced the recipients of the 2026 “Sri Savangavadhana Award” at the Convention Hall, 6th Floor of the Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana Building, Chulabhorn Hospital.

During the lecture, Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D., illustrated the visualization derived from the artistic works handcrafted by the "SIRISILAPIN" (Auspicious Artist). He emphasized that far beyond the visual aesthetic of the artwork lies the immense "royal benevolence" and "compassion" deeply rooted in Her Royal Highness’s constant concern for the well-being and happiness of the Thai people. This artistic vision is profoundly intertwined with the science of royal benevolence in medicine and public health.  Since the inception of "Chulabhorn Royal Academy" in 2016, established to pay tribute to and fulfill the royal aspirations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX), Her Royal Highness has demonstrated farsighted vision. Recognizing the critical need to produce and develop health science and public health professionals in shortage fields, she envisioned an institution dedicated to cultivating graduates imbued with virtue, ethics, and a spirit of volunteerism. Concurrently, Her Royal Highness initiated the expansion of Chulabhorn Hospital’s scope of care to encompass all medical conditions, thereby increasing opportunities for the public to access comprehensive, advanced tertiary medical treatments. Furthermore, this royal benevolence has continuously extended to citizens in remote and rural areas through the "Royal Medical Unit" and the Volunteer Medical Unit under the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation, ensuring that underprivileged populations in remote terrains enjoy equitable and fair access to quality medical services.

The award aims to express deepest gratitude and honor the President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, while sustaining the royal determination to support hospitals nationwide in continuously improving efficient service delivery. The initiative seeks to ensure that patients in every remote locality have equal access to standard, high-quality public health care equipped with modern medical technology. It serves to honor public health service units in remote areas that dedicate themselves to driven, standardized, self-sacrificing, and equitable operations, while inspiring other public health organizations to maintain continuous development across all dimensions for the ultimate benefit of the Thai people in accordance with the royal path.
