Chulabhorn Royal Academy Welcomes New Students for the 2026 Academic Year: Igniting Inspiration toward Becoming Leaders in Health Sciences and Innovation
Bangkok (July 20, 2026) – Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) held its Orientation Ceremony for the 2026 academic year, warmly welcoming 514 new undergraduate students from six faculties. The event was designed to prepare students for academic life, facilitate their adjustment to the university environment, and cultivate the institution's identity under the philosophy, "Be Excellent for Lives." The ceremony was attended by executive leadership, faculty members, staff, and senior students at the Auditorium of the Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine Building, Chulabhorn Royal Academy.
The orientation began with a merit-making ceremony, involving an offering to nine Buddhist monks to bestow auspiciousness upon the new students. This was followed by the "CRA Student Bonding" activity organized by the Student Council to foster friendship and unity between seniors and juniors. Students also watched a commemorative video titled "10 Years of Chulabhorn Royal Academy," highlighting the institution's milestones over the past decade, followed by performances from the CRA Cheerleader and Baton Twirler Club.
During the formal welcome, Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, delivered an address, stating: "Stepping into the Chulabhorn Royal Academy marks a significant beginning of your learning journey. You will be holistically developed in terms of knowledge, professional skills, ethics, and innovation, empowering you to become high-quality personnel prepared to face challenges and drive healthcare systems both nationally and internationally."
A key highlight of the event was a special lecture titled "When My Dreams Take Flight" by Captain Kornprom Saeng-aram M.D., who shared his inspiring personal experiences. He encouraged the new students to be bold in their thinking, proactive in their actions, and committed to self-development to become valuable health science professionals who serve society. Additionally, administrators and deans from all faculties provided insights into teaching approaches, learning resources, student welfare, and extracurricular activities, ensuring the students are well-equipped for a successful university life.
Currently, Chulabhorn Royal Academy is dedicated to offering a diverse range of programs in health sciences, medicine, nursing, biomedical engineering, and innovation, aimed at producing high-caliber graduates who contribute to the nation’s healthcare development. The 2026 orientation marks the first step in this educational journey, reflecting the academy's unwavering commitment to producing graduates who possess knowledge, competence, virtue, and a sense of social responsibility.
