Chulabhorn Hospital Empowers Public Health with “Active Life for a Healthy Heart” Seminar (Generation 3)
Bangkok, May 2026 – Chulabhorn Hospital, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, through its Heart and Vascular Center in collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Alternative Medicine Department, hosted the 3rd generation of the training program: “Active Life for a Healthy Heart: 2-Day Seminar for Everyone.” The initiative aimed to equip the public with proper exercise knowledge and skills for long-term health. The event was presided over by Associate Professor Surasak Leelaudomlipi, M.D., Acting Director of Chulabhorn Hospital, and Damrong Sukitpanyarot, M.D., Deputy Director, at the Convention Hall, 6th Floor, HRH Princess Chulabhorn College of Medical Sciences Building, from April 30 to May 1, 2026.
The 2-day seminar featured intensive theoretical and practical sessions, including:
- • Cardiovascular basics and debunking myths about exercise and the heart.
- • Pre-exercise readiness assessment and the use of Smartwatches, health applications, and VO2 max monitoring.
- • Heart disease prevention for all ages, including specialized care for seniors and those with chronic conditions.
- • Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid (Theory and Practice).
- • Cardiac rehabilitation for beginners, Rue-si Dat Ton (Traditional Thai Stretching), and acupressure for heart health.
- • Warm-up techniques, light daily physical activity, choosing proper footwear, and vital signs measurement.
The program concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony. The Heart and Vascular Center and the Rehabilitation and Alternative Medicine Department hope that participants will apply this knowledge safely to reduce complication risks and be prepared for daily emergencies—ultimately enhancing the quality of life for themselves and their communities.
