Chulabhorn Hospital achieves Disease-Specific Certification (DSC) for TAVR

Chulabhorn Hospital, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, achieves Disease-Specific Certification (DSC) for its Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) care system from the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization), becoming the first in Thailand.

On May 25, 2026, Chulabhorn Hospital, Chulabhorn Royal Academy—led by Associate Professor Surasak Leelaudomlipi, M.D., Acting Director of Chulabhorn Hospital; Wasanai Kraisorakun, M.D., Assistant Director of Chulabhorn Hospital; Virote Muangsilpasart, M.D., Director of the CardioVascular Center; and Prachya Rawangban, M.D., Chairman of the DSC TAVR Working Group (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Care System)—along with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, cardiac physical therapists, and the staff of the Heart and Vascular Center, welcomed the survey committee for Disease-Specific Certification (DSC) from the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization). The survey team was led by Senior Expert Lecturer Phongphan Janthanasombat, alongside Phu-rich Sulanchupakorn, M.D., and Police Major General Anurak Jiamanukulkit M.D., who conducted the site inspection of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) care system at Chulabhorn Hospital, Laksi District, Bangkok.
