Chulabhorn Hospital Concludes "Death Fest 2026" with Proactive Cancer Screenings, Empowering the Public with the "Plan While Healthy" Initiative

Chulabhorn Hospital, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, successfully concluded its participation in "Death Fest 2026: re-member Before-Aging-Ailing-Dead," held from March 13–15, 2026, at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 6, Muang Thong Thani. Throughout the three-day event, the hospital deployed a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide proactive cancer screenings at the “Gae Dee” (Aging Well) Zone, reinforcing the importance of early detection and quality-of-life planning.
The final two days of the event featured intensive screening programs and expert consultations tailored to public health priorities:
Colorectal and Breast Cancer Screenings (March 14): Led by a specialized team of gastroenterologists and surgeons, including Sapol Wiwatpattanakul, M.D., Sirichan Busayaratsamee, M.D., and Paranee Konjanart, M.D., the hospital provided colorectal health assessments. Simultaneously, Phattra Tasee, M.D. and Thitiporn Wannasri, M.D. conducted breast cancer screenings using ultrasound technology. A group of first-year medical students from Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine also joined the team, providing basic check-ups and fostering a unique intergenerational learning environment.
Women’s Health and Urology Services (March 15): The program concluded with high-demand services, including HPV DNA Testing for cervical cancer screening, overseen by gynecologists Theerapat Suwansirisuk, M.D. and Chermin Thitiphatlertdej, M.D. The afternoon session focused on urinary tract health, led by Wichaya Paripatnanont, M.D. (Assistant Director of Chulabhorn Hospital) and Nupatcha Yodkuntham, M.D., with support from Chansa Bangyikhan, M.D., a specialist in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery.
Death Fest 2026 served as a vital platform for transforming "difficult conversations" about death into moments of clarity and understanding. Through creative exhibitions and mindful workshops, Chulabhorn Hospital helped attendees navigate the complexities of relationship management and end-of-life planning with peace of mind.
