Chulabhorn Royal Academy Enhances Knowledge on Budget Proposal Preparation, Linking Strategy to Cost-Effective Budget Utilization

Associate Professor Dr. Jutamanee Suttisungs, Pharm.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, presided over the opening of a personnel capacity-building project on strategic management through a strategic and budget administration workshop entitled “Building Understanding in Budget Proposal Preparation.” This was the third session, organized specifically for units of Chulabhorn Hospital, and held on 12 February 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., at Meeting Room MC232, 3rd Floor, Office of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Lak Si District, Bangkok.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding, and skills in developing projects and budget proposals that are accurate, clear, measurable, and aligned with the strategic direction of Chulabhorn Royal Academy. Particular emphasis was placed on Chulabhorn Hospital, which plays a vital role in medical and public health services, academic services, research, training, as well as supporting teaching and collaborative research with internal and external units.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Jutamanee Suttisungs delivered a lecture on guidelines for drafting project proposals for budget requests, focusing on strategic project design and the systematic linkage of objectives, indicators, outputs, and outcomes. She also provided guidance on preparing budget proposals in accordance with organizational rules, standards, and operational frameworks. In addition, Mr. Burin Trakarnvanich, Acting Assistant Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, and Ms. Phutdara Nokyu, from the Strategy Division (Planning and Budget Unit), contributed insights, clarifications, and recommendations on completing project proposal forms presented by participating units. Their input aimed to ensure clear alignment among plans, projects, budgets, and performance indicators, enabling effective support for strategic implementation.

This activity forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic and budget management system of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, emphasizing a structured, transparent, accountable, and results-oriented approach. It highlights collaboration between executives and operational staff responsible for planning, budgeting, and performance indicators, ensuring that budget utilization is cost-effective, efficient, and truly responsive to the organization’s mission.

The dissemination of information about this activity reflects the Academy’s commitment to organizational development, personnel capacity building, and good governance in budget management. This is consistent with the public disclosure guidelines under the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) for public sector agencies, and aligns with the philosophy “Excellence for All Lives.”
