Assoc. Prof. Surasak Leelaudomlipi M.D. stated that strong bone and joint health is the foundation of movement and a good quality of life. The Orthopedic Center at Chulabhorn Hospital continuously enhances its care standards by combining Robotic Spine Surgery with surgeons' expertise to increase precision, minimize tissue damage, and accelerate patient recovery.

In-Depth Insights: 5 Key Steps to Comprehensive Spine Care
The seminar featured insights from orthopedic spine specialists and multidisciplinary teams covering five key highlights:

•  STEP 1: MOVE AWARE — Recognizing Warning Signs
Jackapol Kamolpak M.D. detailed critical warning signs, such as radiating pain, numbness, muscle weakness, difficulty walking, or bowel/bladder control issues, which warrant immediate medical attention. Most patients can be treated non-surgically via medication, lifestyle adjustments, and physical therapy. If surgery is required, minimally invasive endoscopic options are considered based on individual suitability.
  •  STEP 2: MOVE INNOVATION — Robotic Spine Surgery
Asst. Prof. Warayos Trathitephun M.D. explained that the surgical robot acts as a high-precision navigation system to guide screw placement and planning, fully controlled by the surgeon. When paired with minimally invasive techniques, it reduces incision size, blood loss, tissue trauma, and recovery time under the principle: "Precise, Safe, and Tailored to Each Patient."
  •  STEP 3: REAL MOVE STORY — From Inmobility to Walking Again
Patient experiences across different age groups were shared:
o  Adolescent Patient: Miss Athicha Intapanyo and her mother, Mrs. Kringthip Intapanyo, shared their experience treating scoliosis using robotic-assisted surgery, enabling her to regain confidence and return to school. Asst. Prof. Warayos Trathitephun M.D. explained the tailored treatment plan.
o  Elderly Patient: Asst. Prof. Opa Yingheng shared his recovery from severe leg pain to walking and enjoying family activities again, supported by Jackapol Kamolpak M.D. 's evaluation process.
  •  STEP 4: MOVE RECOVERY — Post-Surgery Rehabilitation
Phornpa Lertutsahakul M.D. and Mr. Anucha Sangorn, Sports Scientist, outlined post-operative rehabilitation, including balance training and core strengthening to ensure a safe return to daily activities.
  •  STEP 5: MOVE TOGETHER — Moving Forward Confidently
Sports scientists and physical therapists led attendees through easy, safe exercise routines to encourage proper movement habits.

The event also featured free public health activities, including body composition analysis, a robotic spine surgery exhibition, and "Step & Stand" balance assessments.
