Chulabhorn Royal Academy Welcomes Delegation from Mahitaladhibesra Institute to Strengthen Professional Networks and Share Knowledge in Medicine, Research, and Innovation for the Sustainable Advancement of Thai Public Health
August 28, 2026 – Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA), led by Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, along with the executive board, heads of departments, and staff, welcomed a delegation from the Mahitaladhibesra Institute. The visiting delegation was led by Air Chief Marshal Ittaporn Kanacharoen, M.D., Secretary-General of the Medical Council of Thailand and Director of the Mahitaladhibesra Institute, accompanied by the curriculum executive committee, students of the Certificate Course in Medical Governance for Senior Executives, Class 12 (PTM 12), and the Certificate Course in Medical Law, Class 2 (PKM 2), on the occasion of their study visit to CRA in Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The study visit featured special lectures on CRA’s missions in medicine, research, and innovation. These included a lecture on "Excellent for Every Life in Healthcare Services" by Associate Professor Surasak Leelaudomlipi, M.D., Acting Director, Chulabhorn Hospital; "Excellent for Every Life in Research and Innovation" by Professor Ruengpung Sutthent, Ph.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy; and "Excellent for Every Life in Targeted Anticancer Drug Innovation" by Dr. Watchara Kanjanakawinkul, Director of the Royal Initiative Pharmaceutical Production Plant at CRA. Following the lectures, the delegation was guided on a tour of various facilities, including the Heart and Vascular Center and the National Cyclotron and PET Scan Center at Chulabhorn Hospital; the 5th and 6th floors of the HRH Princess Chulabhorn 60th Anniversary Research and Learning Building; the CRA Archives and Museum; and the Advanced Clinical Skills Training Center (Soft Cadaver), Metaverse PSMD, and AICEDA at the Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine building.
Chulabhorn Royal Academy was established under the royal aspiration of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, who envisioned an institute that integrates medicine, research, innovation, and education to elevate the quality of life for the people. This study visit served as a platform for knowledge exchange and an opportunity to build strong collaborative networks, which will drive the secure and sustainable development of the Thai public health system. Chulabhorn Royal Academy sincerely hopes that the experiences and knowledge the delegation gained from this visit will significantly contribute to expanding their perspectives and concepts, which can be applied to organizational management and operational development, ultimately enhancing the quality and efficiency of their endeavors for the benefit of their organizations and society.
