Chulabhorn Royal Academy Highlights "National Innovation Contest Stage" at CRA THINK SHARE 2026, Nurturing Youth into Innovators Driving Thailand’s Health Technology
BANGKOK (29 May 2026) – Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) reinforced its organizational mission to apply science and technology to elevate the quality of life for the public. Marking the 1st decade since its founding, CRA continues to drive the nation forward in accordance with the royal aspiration of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, the Royal Founder of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, by hosting “CRA THINK SHARE: INNOVATIONS & INVENTIONS FORUM 2026.” Held under the theme “Sparking Innovators’ Minds: From Ideas to Sustainable Innovations,” the event featured a national innovation and invention contest for high school students and an exhibition showcasing CRA's own innovations at the Auditorium, Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine Building, Chulabhorn Royal Academy.

This year’s event marked a new milestone for the Thai scientific community, as the national innovation and invention platform for high school students generated an unprecedented response, with a record-breaking 1,166 submissions from across the country. Only 18 elite teams advanced to the final round to present their ideas to a panel of expert judges to compete for honorable trophies, medals, and scholarships. Professor Dr. Ruengpung Sutthent, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, honorably presided over the ceremony to present awards to the winning innovators. The outstanding award-winning projects include:

The organization of “CRA THINK SHARE: INNOVATIONS & INVENTIONS FORUM 2026” also fostered a milestone integration between Chulabhorn Royal Academy and 4 leading national research and innovation networks, namely: The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) , The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) , The National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA , The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa). This collaboration aimed to open up a learning space and inspire high school networks and the new generation nationwide. The opening ceremony was honorably presided over by Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), who delivered a keynote address on "Laying the Foundation for a High-Income Country Through Science and Technology." They were warmly welcomed by Professor Emeritus Rajata Ratjatanavin, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, along with executive members and representatives from partner organizations.

The achievements of the youth on this Chulabhorn Royal Academy innovation and invention platform do not only prove the high potential of Thai students in medical science and health technology. They also concretely reflect the success of Chulabhorn Royal Academy on its 1st anniversary milestone, following the royal vision of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. The event serves as a crucial milestone to inspire and nurture Thai youth to grow into future "innovators" who will sustainably drive the nation forward.
