Chulabhorn Hospital Partners with Novartis to Launch the 3rd "Professional Breast Cancer Navigator" Training Program Enhancing Knowledge and Compassionate Care to Elevate Patients' Quality of Life

BANGKOK, THAILAND (March 13, 2026) — The Cancer Center at Chulabhorn Hospital, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, in collaboration with Novartis (Thailand) Co., Ltd., hosted the 3rd "Professional Breast Cancer Navigator Training Program." Held at the Meeting Room, 11th Floor, Agrarajakumari Building, the initiative aims to strengthen the capabilities of patients, caregivers, medical personnel, and volunteers, ensuring comprehensive expertise in breast cancer care.

The program focuses on developing "Navigators" equipped with multifaceted knowledge and skills. These navigators serve as a vital support system, helping newly diagnosed breast cancer patients access the healthcare system rapidly and efficiently. The training featured a distinguished panel of experts from Chulabhorn Hospital and Chulabhorn Royal Academy, covering essential topics including:
 • In-depth Healthcare Benefits: "Understanding the Thai Public Health System and Accessing Treatment Rights" by Ms. Chanpen Fa-amnuayporn, Medical Records and Benefits Unit.
 • Treatment Pathways: "Navigation Channels for Cancer Treatment at Chulabhorn Hospital" by Ms. Pornpimon Lertpanit, Service System Development Unit, Cancer Center.
 • The First Step to Surgery: "Service Insights and Seamless Coordination for Initial Breast Cancer Surgery" by Ms. Renuka Wandee, Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Breast Outpatient Unit.
 • Outpatient Care Management: "Navigating OPD Procedures and Comprehensive Coordination for Initial Cancer Treatment" by Ms. Panatchanok Cherdchay, Cancer Outpatient Nursing Unit.
 • Pharmaceutical Knowledge: "Fundamental Knowledge of Breast Cancer Medications" by Ms. Apichaya Adisornnakul, Pharmaceutical Services.
 • Ethics and Communication: "Communication Skills and Personal Data Protection (PDPA)" by Ms. Anamas Viriyapaiboon, Data Protection Officer (DPO), Chulabhorn Royal Academy.
