Arts and Cultural Preservation Project: Dhamma Practice for Life Guidance Activity
“Dhamma for Service with a Humanistic Heart”
On 18 January 2026, the Student Club of the Princess Royal College of Nursing organized a Dhamma Practice for Life Guidance activity under the theme “Dhamma for Service with a Humanistic Heart.” The program was arranged for nursing students who were about to commence their clinical practice in hospital wards, with the aim of cultivating compassion in patient care and fostering respect for human dignity.
On this occasion, Venerable Phra Ajarn Chanchai Suthammo (Phra Ajarn Benz) of Wat Thammamongkol, Bangkok, kindly served as the guest speaker and facilitator. The program included a lecture on applying Dhamma principles to nursing practice, as well as meditation and mindfulness training sessions designed to strengthen positive energy and emotional resilience among nursing students.
The Dhamma Practice for Life Guidance activity forms part of the College’s initiative to promote mental well-being among nursing students. This is considered essential in preparing them for clinical training, encouraging attentiveness to learning, and instilling a firm commitment to moral and ethical principles in delivering nursing care with a truly humanistic heart.
