CRA Honors HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s Birthday with "SIRISILAPIN: Fantasia" Exhibition, Merging Medical Science and Visual Arts for Public Wellbeing

BANGKOK, 2 July 2026 — Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) hosted a celebratory event and royal charity initiatives titled “SIRISILAPIN: Fantasia – The Reflection of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s Benevolence” to mark the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy and Chairperson of the CRA Council, which falls on 4 July 2026. The event took place at the Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana Building, Chulabhorn Hospital. Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, presided over the royal blessing ceremony and the Buddhist prayer chanting ritual, joined by executives, staff, civil servants, network partners, and members of the public to express their profound gratitude and loyalty.


Throughout the years, Her Royal Highness has dedicated herself to countless royal duties to alleviate suffering and promote public welfare across Thailand. Guided by a steadfast determination to advance medical science and public healthcare

Her Royal Highness firmly believes that "the health and wellbeing of citizens" forms the ultimate foundation for national security and stability. This vision led to the establishment of Chulabhorn Royal Academy in 2016 as a premier institution for educational research, medical services, and public healthcare aimed at elevating the quality of life for all Thais. Her Royal Highness has consistently demonstrated outstanding brilliance and leadership in medical science, pharmaceuticals, and visual arts, seamlessly integrating the "science" of medicine with the "art" of imagination to create tangible innovations and new hope for the nation's healthcare system. On this auspicious occasion, it was a matter of utmost royal benevolence that Her Royal Highness graciously granted a royal donation of 690,000 tablets of "Imcranib 100", a targeted cancer medication.


his medicine is a direct result of Her Royal Highness's diligent and dedicated work in pharmaceutical development, aimed at ensuring equitable access to advanced cancer treatment for all patients.

On this occasion, Chulabhorn Royal Academy hosted three special commemorative lectures in honor of Her Royal Highness, alongside the announcement of two prestigious national and international awards in the fields of medicine and public health, as follows:


1) The Announcement of the 2026 Srisavangavadhana Award for the Year 2026 during the Commemorative lecture on "The Science of Royal Mercy: From the Foundation of Determination to Public Wellbeing" by Professor Emeritus Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy.

2) The Announcement of the 3rd Princess Chulabhorn Award (2025) The international award results were presented during the Commemorative  lecture "Science for Humanity: Royal Dedication to Oncology" by Associate Professor Tassana Boontong, Ph.D., Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Princess Chulabhorn Award Foundation.

3) The Commemorative Lecture titled "The Science of Beauty: Phalaenopsis Princess Chulabhorn Orchid – Silk Cocoon Artistry Reflecting Royal Elegance and Benevolence," was delivered by Thakur Phanit, Ph.D., Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy.

 Concurrently, Chulabhorn Royal Academy is featuring the commemorative exhibition “Sirisinlapin: Fantasia – The Reflection of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s Benevolence” in honor of the "1 Decade of Chulabhorn Royal Academy" milestone. For this exhibition, Her Royal Highness graciously granted her royal artwork collection titled "Fantasia" to be displayed on the 1st Floor of the Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana Building, Chulabhorn Hospital, starting from July 2026 onwards. The public is invited to admire her artistic genius and participate in charity initiatives through the latest collection from the Srisavangavadhana Foundation.

The exhibition beautifully demonstrates the integration of the world of science (medicine and healthcare) and the world of art (royal paintings by the "SIRISILAPIN" National Artist). The term “SIRISILAPIN: Fantasia” extends beyond the boundless imagination of her visual art; it reflects the "imagination of happiness and quality of life" that Her Royal Highness strives to realize for Thai citizens through the medical services of Chulabhorn Royal Academy over the past decade.

Marking Her Royal Highness's 69th birthday, the Srisavangavadhana Foundation officially debuted the new SIRISILAPIN “Fantasia” Charity Collection, welcoming the auspicious year of the horse with the "Pegasus" motif—the celestial horse from Her Royal Highness’s royal paintings that symbolizes success, progress, and freedom. All proceeds from the collection will support the foundation in funding medical treatments for underprivileged patients nationwide and procuring advanced medical equipment for Chulabhorn Hospital.

The event also offers interactive experiences and community outreach services, including the A craft workshop Phalaenopsis 'Princess Chulabhorn' orchid brooches from silkworm cocoons. The event is honored to collaborate with Ban Ton Silk Weaving Village from Ban Khwao District, Chaiyaphum Province—one of Thailand's most renowned hubs of traditional silk wisdom. They have provided high-quality, authentic silkworm cocoons to be meticulously and gracefully transformed into these beautiful pieces.Event attendees can participate by making a donation of 69 Baht to receive a Phalaenopsis 'Princess Chulabhorn' orchid cocoon brooch, with all proceeds supporting the Srisavangavadhana Foundation. Alternatively, participants can choose to donate their handcrafted brooches back to Chulabhorn Royal Academy to help raise further funds for the foundation.



“Long Rak Pid Thong” (Gilding Art) Fantasia Tiger Workshop by Tippimarn Art Gallery, charity booths featuring products from royal initiatives, and free health screenings by Chulabhorn Hospital. The complimentary health services include holistic body element analysis, urine protein tests, electrocardiograms (EKG), bone mass density scans, and facial skin analysis.

Chulabhorn Royal Academy warmly invites the public and interested individuals to admire the royal artwork at the "Fantasia" exhibition and support the exclusive charity collection at the 1st Floor, Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana Building, Chulabhorn Hospital, to collectively extend medical care and hope to patients in need following the royal footsteps.
