February 20, 2026 – Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA), through the Arts and Culture Promotion Section of the Arts, Culture, Sports, and Recreation Division, organized a "Cultural Field Trip" activity. This initiative aims to support the Academy’s mission in nurturing the arts, culture, and local wisdom of the Bang Krasop community through various learning stations. Dr.Thakur Phanit, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, presided over the opening ceremony, joined by more than 70 CRA staffs and students at the Bang Krasop Community Learning Center, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province.
This event was designed to provide an opportunity for CRA personnel and students to engage in collective activities, fostering love, unity, and organizational bonding. Furthermore, it allowed participants to experience the authentic lifestyle of the Bang Krasop people, raising awareness and appreciation for the unique local culture and traditions of the area.

This project serves as a vital mechanism in promoting the Chulabhorn Royal Academy’s core mission to preserve and maintain arts, culture, religion, ethics, and local wisdom—all of which are fundamental to developing human resources with both intellectual and emotional maturity.

Participants engaged in various hands-on activities, including: Natural Tie-Dyeing: Using natural pigments derived from Nipa palm (Luk Chak) husks, Herbal Balm Making: Crafted from local medicinal plants, Traditional Weaving: Creating food containers from Nipa palm leaves (reviving ancient techniques), Thai Dessert Making: Preparing aromatic sweets made from local coconuts and wrapped in Nipa leaves, Mindfulness Practice: Relaxing the body and mind through the vibrations of "Tibetan Singing Bowls." The afternoon concluded with a kayaking excursion, exploring the canals surrounded by Nipa palm forests in the Bang Krasop area. The experience left a deep impression on all participants, inspiring a sense of pride in Thai identity and a shared commitment to preserving the nation’s beautiful cultural heritage for future generations.
