Step Towards Becoming a “Professional Breast Cancer Patient Navigator” with Chulabhorn Hospital
On February 13, 2026, the Oncology Center of Chulabhorn Hospital, in collaboration with Novartis (Thailand) Co., Ltd., organized the 2nd “Professional Breast Cancer Patient Navigator Training Program” at Phetcharat 1 Meeting Room, 11th Floor, Agrarajakumari Building, Chulabhorn Hospital.
This event was supported by a team of medical specialists who delivered expert lectures on various topics, including:
“The Role of Radiation Therapy in Breast Cancer: What Patients Need to Know”, along with a guided tour of radiation therapy equipment, presented by Dr. Pornvaree Triratsapanich, Radiation Oncologist.
“Post-Surgical Physical Therapy Techniques” to promote faster recovery and build confidence, presented by Dr. Thachapim Sukhumwat, Rehabilitation Medicine Physician.
“Nutrition: Eat Well, Stay Strong, and Fight Cancer”, providing practical dietary guidance and answering participants’ questions, presented by Dr. Siree Wongrakmit, Clinical Nutrition Internist, and Ms. Worawannipa Phetphrom, Dietitian, Chulabhorn Hospital.
The “Professional Breast Cancer Patient Navigator” program operates under the concept of “Turning Experience into Empowerment.” It aims to build a network of knowledgeable and compassionate peer navigators who can provide hope, encouragement, and quality guidance to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients—helping them move forward with confidence and ensuring that no one faces the journey alone.
Because caring for breast cancer patients is not only about treatment—it is about “navigating” with accurate knowledge and true understanding.
