Chulabhorn Hospital Hosts Supplier Day 2026 to Enhance Transparent Procurement of Medicines and Medical Supplies
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasak Leelaudomlipi, Acting Director of Chulabhorn Hospital, presided over the Supplier Day 2026 (3rd Session)—a policy meeting on the importation and procurement of medicines and medical supplies. The event was attended by Dr. Damrong Sukitpanyaroj, Deputy Director of Chulabhorn Hospital, the hospital’s executive team, medical personnel, and pharmaceutical and medical supply distributors. The meeting took place on Friday, 16 January 2026, at the Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine Building, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The event aimed to clearly communicate the hospital’s policies, guidelines, and strategic direction for the importation and procurement of medicines and medical supplies to distributors and relevant stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and alignment. This is a vital component of effective pharmaceutical and medical supply management to ensure adequacy for medical services, patient safety, and support for the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality healthcare in accordance with standards.
The meeting also served as a platform to strengthen understanding of procurement processes, purchasing procedures, inventory management, and the application of information technology to support modern, cost-effective management and to mitigate risks that could impact patient care. Emphasis was placed on governance principles—transparency, fairness, auditability—and on preventing conflicts of interest or non-compliance with applicable regulations.
In addition, Supplier Day 2026 provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs and stakeholders to exchange views and offer recommendations to inform continuous improvement of the hospital’s systems for importing and procuring medicines and medical supplies—enhancing efficiency, value for money, safety, and sustainability. This reflects the hospital’s commitment to public disclosure of operational information in line with the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) framework for public sector agencies, under the philosophy “Excellence for All Lives.”
