Chulabhorn Royal Academy Dispatches Royal Mobile Medical Unit to Sa Kaeo, Providing Relief to Residents and Evacuees Affected by Border Unrest

SA KAEO, THAILAND (March 12, 2026) – Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) has dispatched the Chulabhorn Hospital Royal Mobile Medical Unit to provide urgent healthcare services and distribute 300 Royal Household Medicine Kits to residents and evacuees affected by the ongoing unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. The mission was conducted at the Thap Thai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province.
Dr. Watchara Chatwiriya, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, presided over the opening ceremony and official distribution of the medicine kits. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Parinya Phothisat, Governor of Sa Kaeo Province, who, along with local officials, expressed profound gratitude for the royal compassion of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. As the President of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Her Royal Highness has remained deeply concerned for the health and well-being of those displaced by the border situation.

Following the ceremony, the Royal Mobile Medical Unit provided comprehensive health screenings. On this mission, 218 individuals sought medical attention. The top five medical conditions identified were:
1.Musculoskeletal disorders (67 cases)
2.Ophthalmological issues (49 cases)
3.Neurological conditions (19 cases)
4.Respiratory ailments (13 cases)
5.Dermatological and Cardiovascular conditions (11 cases each)
Additionally, the medical team conducted home visits to provide care and medicine kits to three bedridden patients who were unable to travel to the medical site. A total of 23 patients were referred for further specialized treatment.
