
Chulabhorn Royal Academy distributed 500 royal survival bags given by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana to the flood victims in Sop Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province on Sunday 20 August 2023. The bags could relieve their suffering and boost their morale.
Mr. Prasert Jitpleecheep, Deputy Governor of Mae Hong Son Province, received the bags in front of the picture of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana and gave them to Mr. Pilan Naewthong, representative of the Sheriff of Sop Moei District, government officials and the victims. The venue was at the Sop Moei District Office, Mae Hong Son.
Heavy rain caused 23, 166 people (9,386 households) in 44 villages of 5 subdistricts to suffer from floods and mud slide. In addition, agricultural areas, livestock and other public facilities such as roads were also damaged. The five subdistricts included Mae Sam Laep (10 villages), Sop Moei (12 villages), Mae Khatuan (3 villages), Kong Koi (8 villages) and Mae Suat (11 villages). All of the villagers felt deep gratitude for the benevolence of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana.
