Chulabhorn Royal Academy distributed 500 royal survival bags to Acting Sub Lt. Trakul Thotham, Deputy Governor, who represented the flood victims in Pattani Province to promote their morale at the Auditorium of Nong Chik District.
The flood situation in Pattani province was affected by the influence of high atmospheric pressure or cold air masses spreading over upper Thailand, fueling the strength of the northeast monsoon that prevailed over the Gulf of Thailand and the south. This brought about heavy to very heavy rain in the south-east, causing floods in Pattani province. 26,848 households, 90,645 people, in 12 districts suffered from the floods.
