Chulabhorn Royal Academy Gives Favipiravir to Rao Tong Rod

Chulabhorn Royal Academy gave 50,000 tablets of Favipiravir to an organization of volunteers, Rao Tong Rod, for patients with COVID-19.


On March 18, Professor Nithi Mahanonda, MD, Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, handed over the antiviral medication to Ms. Diana Chungjingtanakarn and representatives of the organization so that the volunteers could promptly give the drug to the patients at the four waiting centers and at home. 

Hospitals, foundations, volunteer organizations and corporate organizations with healthcare facilities could request for the drug from the academy at https://favipiravir.cra.ac.th free of charge, following the aspiration of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, the academy aimed to ease the spread of the Omicron and ensure that the patients timely receive the drug.  Her Royal Highness has been concerned about this incident and has been providing medical assistance.
