Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, assigned Associate Professor Ongkarn Reungrattana-umporn, MD, Deputy Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, to organize the royal medical units to provide physical examinations and treatment to honor His Majesty the King’s Birthday at Wat Tha Phu Rat Bamrung, Dan Makham Tia District, Kanchanaburi on July 27, 2022. In addition, 300 bags containing common household medicines were also distributed.
The medical units comprised specialty doctors including optometrists and ophthalmologists , registered nurses and medical personnel. The total of three hundred and eighteen patients suffered from the following top 4 diseases.
1. Ophthalmic system: 251 cases
2. Musculoskeletal system: 123 cases
3. Gastrointestinal system: 15 cases
4. Neurological system: 19 cases
Twenty-four cases received physical examinations and twenty-one patients were referred for further examination. They also paid a home visit to four bedridden patients.
