HRH Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana Visits Chulabhorn Hospital’s Royal Medical Mobile Unit and Operates Chulabhorn Volunteer Veterinary Unit at Bueng Kan Technical College, Mueang District, Bueng Kan Province

On May 22, 2026, Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Chancellor of Chulabhorn Royal Academy Council, and Acting Secretary-General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy, visited Chulabhorn Hospital’s Royal Medical Mobile Unit and operated the Chulabhorn Volunteer Veterinary Unit at Bueng Kan Technical College, Wisit Sub-district, Mueang District, Bueng Kan Province. Driven by Her Royal Highness’s profound concern for the well-being of Thai citizens living in remote areas, and to ensure thorough access to medical and public health services, she graciously commanded teams of doctors, nurses, and medical personnel from Chulabhorn Hospital—in collaboration with the Bueng Kan Provincial Public Health agencies, Bueng Kan Hospital, and the Bueng Kan Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security—to set up a mobile unit providing free general medical check-ups and treatments. A continuous stream of residents from Bueng Kan and neighboring provinces arrived to receive these medical services. Today, a total of 142 people received treatment, categorized into: musculoskeletal disorders (72 cases), digestive system issues (22 cases), cardiovascular diseases (14 cases), neurological system issues (26 cases), and respiratory system issues (10 cases). Additionally, 6 patients were referred to Nakhon Phanom Hospital for further care.

Following this, Her Royal Highness graciously donated 500 doses of rabies vaccine to the Bueng Kan Provincial Livestock Officer to build immunity in target animal populations. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness performed veterinary duties alongside the Chulabhorn Volunteer Veterinary team from Kasetsart University. This operation aligns with the strategic framework of the project "Disease-Free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies: Following the Royal Determination," which aims to completely eliminate and control the spread of rabies in Thailand. Her Royal Highness's boundless benevolence and concern for the health and well-being of both the people and pets in the area brought overwhelming joy and gratitude to the citizens of Bueng Kan Province.
